Obtaining her Juris Doctor from the University of Toronto, Alia was called to the bar in 2012 after articling at one of the top civil litigation boutiques in Toronto. She spent two years studying law in the Cayman Islands and was the recipient of multiple awards, including the Butterworths Law Prize for best second year performance and the University of Liverpool Law Association Prize for best overall year two marks. Alia joined Potestio Law in 2014, working within general litigation before focusing her practice on family and estate litigation.
